Qantas Releases Hotham Fares Early
Published on 14th February 2013

Qantas has brought forward the release of fares between Sydney and Mt Hotham for the 2013 ski season.

Offering 88 flights throughout the season starting 28 June and ending 8 September 2013, the QantasLink service makes Hotham Alpine Resort the most accessible ski resort in the country.

While tickets for this route are traditionally available from March, Qantas has brought forward the release of the fares to capitalise on the thousands of Australians returning from Northern Hemisphere ski trips.

QantasLink Executive Manager, John Gissing said QantasLink had operated flights to the region for over 10 years and was pleased to provide the service again for 2013.

“QantasLink has flown tens of thousands of visitors to Mt Hotham to experience everything the alpine resort has to offer and we look forward to doing it again for the 2013 ski season,” Mr Gissing said.

“Landing just 20 kilometres from the slopes, QantasLink’s Mt Hotham service gives skiers more time on the mountain and means interstate and international visitors can get from Sydney to the snow in just 80 minutes.

“Four return services will be provided each week, building to six return services during the August peak period.” Hotham Skiing Company General Manager, Ms Belinda Trembath said, it was fantastic to have the continuing support of Qantas.

“Hotham Airport is the closest airport to any major snow resort in the Southern Hemisphere, making Hotham Alpine Resort the perfect destination for winter weekend getaways and holiday breaks,” Ms Trembath said.

Qantas is offering a special fare of $189 one-way, including taxes and charges, for sale and travel throughout the entire 2013 ski season subject to availability. Visit qantas.com for bookings.
