QANTAS STATEMENT ON MORE FLIGHTS FOR WA

It’s great to see WA easing some of its border restrictions because it means families can see each other, workers can move around and tourism can start to pick up.

It’s disappointing and frustrating to see Sydney left off the list, given it’s probably doing the best of any city its size in keeping control of a virus that Australia will be living with for a long time.

What we really need is single set of standards for opening and closing our internal borders to give everyone more certainty.

We are adding some flights back into our schedule to and from Perth from 14 November.

Flight detail

From 14 November Qantas will launch a new route between Perth and Hobart. The new route will operate three days per week until 31 January 2021 with a Boeing 737 aircraft.

Qantas will also make the following schedule changes:

  • Increase Adelaide to Perth flights from 4pw to 7pw
  • Increase Brisbane to Perth flights from 5pw to 14pw
  • Increase Darwin to Perth flights from 2pw to 3pw
  • Resume Canberra to Perth flights at 4pw
