Qantas will help customers travelling from Melbourne to freshen up after race-day events at the Spring Racing Carnival this year.
Qantas will operate a “Spring Racing Revitalisation” pop-up inside the Qantas Club at Melbourne Airport, which will bring indulgences like massages that are usually offered in Qantas’ First Lounges and Botanica cold-pressed juices offered on flights in Business.
Available to eligible customers with access to the Qantas Club, the pop-up will offer morning and evening revival options including:
- Rehydrating beverages including Botanica cold-pressed green juice and fresh young coconuts, as well as relaxing tea blends
- Hand, neck and shoulder massages by therapists from spaQ, courtesy of QT Hotels and Resort
- Post-event breakfast options including bacon and egg rolls; and ham and cheese toasties
- Post-event dinner options including hot chips with Sichuan salt, mini yeeros and Bloody Marys.
Qantas Head of Customer Service, Philip Capps, said the airline was pleased to step up the comfort factor in its lounge to help customers feel rejuvenated after a day at the races.
“Victoria’s famous Spring Racing carnival is always one of our busiest travel times of the year, right up there with Christmas, Easter and footy finals. We’re pleased to offer an extra comfort boost so race-goers feel a little more refreshed on their journey home,” said Mr Capps.
Qantas will also serve sparkling wine and strawberries to customers travelling on Melbourne Cup Day in its Melbourne and Sydney Qantas Clubs and Business Lounges.
