QantasLink Moves To Terminal Three at Sydney Airport
Published on 15th August 2013

From today, QantasLink customers travelling to and from Sydney Airport will enjoy smoother connections, reduced check-in times and improved access to Qantas’ premium lounges, following the move to Qantas’ exclusive domestic terminal, Terminal 3.

Marking a major milestone in Qantas’ customer-focused strategy, the move of QantasLink flights from Terminal 2 to Terminal 3 will mean more seamless travel experiences for over one million customers each year.

Qantas Domestic Chief Executive Officer Lyell Strambi said operating QantasLink and Qantas Domestic flights from the same terminal will deliver huge benefits to business and leisure travellers flying to and from Sydney and beyond.

“With QantasLink services now in Terminal 3, customers can expect smoother connections between regional, domestic and international services and will no longer have to transfer between terminals to connect to their domestic Qantas flight,” Mr Strambi said.

“Terminal 3’s Faster, Smarter Check-in services will significantly reduce check-in times for QantasLink customers, which is a huge benefit for the growing number of business travellers between regional areas and Sydney.

“Our customers using Qantas’ premium lounges, including the Qantas Club and Domestic Business Lounge, will now only be moments from their aircraft. An extra 80 seats have also been added to the Qantas Club to accommodate for the additional customers using the lounge.”

NSW Deputy Premier and Minister for Trade and Investment Andrew Stoner welcomed the transition of QantasLink flight arrivals and departures to Terminal 3.

“This will make it easier and more efficient for regional passengers in particular making ongoing journeys aboard other Qantas flights, to other domestic destinations,” Mr Stoner said.

“I am pleased Qantas has streamlined its services in the one terminal and I’m sure passengers will be just as happy with the changes.”

QantasLink operates from Sydney to Tamworth, Dubbo, Canberra, Armidale, Coffs Harbour, Port Macquarie, Wagga Wagga, Albury, Lord Howe Island and Gladstone.

QantasLink operates over 300 return flights a week between regional NSW, Gladstone and Sydney.

QantasLink will operate its services from Gate 1A, 1B and 1C at Terminal 3.
