REVEALED: WHAT QANTAS CUSTOMERS WATCHED AT 38,000 FEET IN 2023

Long seen as a place to quietly binge watch shows or catch-up on movies, aircraft entertainment is an important part of many people’s journey.

As it does every year, Qantas has revealed the most popular inflight entertainment for 2023 and Australian talent and content were the big winners.

Box office hit Barbie, starring Australian actress Margot Robbie, was the most watched movie of 2023, while global sensation Bluey took out top billing as the most popular kids entertainment program.

Australian shows dominated the small screen, with Five Bedrooms the most watched comedy, The Australian Wars the most watched documentary and Couples Therapy Australia the most popular reality show.

However, it was US hit The White Lotus which was the number one TV show, with Qantas customers spending a collective 300,000 hours watching the second season this year.

As millions of Australians head off on holidays over the Christmas break, there is plenty of new entertainment to watch and listen to onboard, ranging from the action-packed battles of John Wick – Chapter 4 to family favourites The Super Mario Bros and Puss in Boots: The Last Wish. The hit new Paramount+ TV show NCIS: Sydney has also been added to the entertainment lineup, which was filmed at picturesque locations across Sydney, including the Rocks and Bondi Beach.
