I’m pleased to report that the Qantas Group achieved a record result in financial year 2016. Our underlying profit before tax was $1.53 billion – up almost 60 per cent on last year. There are a lot of great numbers in our announcement today. But it’s worth putting really simply. This is the best result in the 95 year history of Qantas – and the best result in Australian aviation history, full stop.
