Qantas is celebrating the 75th anniversary of its first Short Empire flying boat services to Singapore, which took off from Sydney’s first international airport at Rose Bay on 4 August 1938 and landed in Singapore’s Kallang Airport.

Qantas today celebrated its 100th Boeing 737 – and 250th Boeing aircraft overall – since the partnership between the two companies began in the 1950s.

Qantas today unveiled a new uniform, the work of acclaimed Australian designer Martin Grant, to be worn by 12,600 uniformed employees from early 2014.
